find
find was born out of research at Carnegie Mellon with a simple premise. There are 70 billion hours of web research thrown away annually. What if we reused work that others have done when we use the web to solve problems, rather than starting from scratch?
The current product is similar to Pinterest, for information. The underpinnings, however, are more complicated. The integration of proprietary ranking algorithms and a concept to automatically build research packages while browsing may change how people think of the web.
The product and vision excited people from around the world to join our mission. My work on find has been exhilarating, but ultimately not financially fruitful. I was able to sell the company for a small exit and pay back my investors.
Accomplishments
- Hired a passionate team of 6 from Stanford, Columbia, Facebook, MIT
- Built company from concept to hundreds of thousands of users
- Topped several forums like Reddit and Hackernews

Illuminate Ventures
Illuminate Ventures is a B2B enterprise SaaS seed fund boasting a handful of notable exits.
I was brought on as a Student In Residence while attending Carnegie Mellon to expand the firm’s reach into Pittsburgh. I did everything from sourcing deals, to forming strategic investment relationships, to identifying future LPs and conducting due diligence.
My most important function, however, was making a repeatable process for my successors to follow. Due to my success, we hired two replacements at Carnegie Mellon and expanded the program into other universities.
Accomplishments
- Build Student in Residence program
- Sourced 50 deals
- Closely mentored 5 startups in growth phases

Carnegie Mellon University
There were very few universities that I wanted to attend for my post-secondary education. Carnegie Mellon – known for academic rigor, engineering first attitude, and cross-campus collaboration – made it the most appealing by far.
I quickly dove in and helped expand the startup ecosystem. I competed in (and won several) entrepreneurial competitions around Carnegie Mellon and the country. I became the President of the entrepreneurial club, a James R Swartz Fellow, started working for Illuminate Ventures, and began building find.
During my tenure, I took advantage of every resource I could. I was well known for spending significantly more time in the CS and engineering buildings than I did in the business school. I worked with a mathematics professor on an advanced search algorithm, teamed up with the Human-Computer Interaction Institute to launch a novel mobile web browser, and helped create one of the first Hyperloop Pods.
Accomplishments
- Master of Business Administration
- Human Computer Interaction Research Assistant
- President of Gradate Entrepreneurship Club
- Co-authored paper on Machine Learning
- Finance Director on CMU Hyperloop
- Swartz Entrepreneurial Fellow

aPriori Technologies
I was adamant on finding a company with a great fit after Lehigh. aPriori, backed by Bain Capital, was working on a problem I experienced firsthand when interning at BAE Systems: manufacturing cost estimation. All you had to do was plug in a CAD drawing, and it told you exactly how you have to manufacture it, how long it would take, and how much it would cost.
My initial role was a perfect mix of mechanical engineering, software development, consulting, and travel. I was promoted several times during my four years, eventually leading a global team of engineers and consultants while helping the sales team close large $1M+ accounts across the US and Asia.
My crowning achievement was leading our company’s largest deployment at a world-leading automotive company. It cost nearly $10M, spanned three divisions, and spread over ten countries. My team was ten at the time, and we completed the implementation two months ahead of schedule and 30% under budget.
Accomplishments
- Promoted 3 times in 3 years
- Launched offices across China and India
- Worked with clients from more than 20 countries and every region in the US
- Partnered with customers from floor manufacturing workers to CTOs

Lehigh University
Lehigh, a school with one of the most picturesque campuses in the world, was a time to start fresh. My brother, 7, was old enough to be self-sustainable, my mother’s diseases were under control, and I had a newfound sense of freedom.
Slowly but surely, I started to gain social footing with my peers and developed lifelong friendships. This time in a collegiate bubble, spending more time talking than studying was necessary for my growth. I was never really afforded this amount of time to relax since I was 10. I still worked both a steady job and side hustle, like flipping sneakers, throughout my studies to pay my way through college. Not to mention I was a member of our Division 1 track team. But understanding how much of my life is under my control was paramount to understanding how the world worked.
My life abruptly changed when my mother passed during my senior year. This moment was confusing for me. I spent most of my life helping care for her, and much of my life felt moot. Tragedy aside, this moment taught me the importance of relationships as my new friends helped me weather the storm.
Accomplishments
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering
- NCAA Division 1 Track IC4A medalist
- Maintain a job and side hustle through all four years

Hempfield High School
High school was a challenging but valuable time in my life. My family was typical lower-middle-class suburbia, with a twist. My mother’s Multiple Sclerosis peaked at the same time as my younger brother was born. My father worked extra hours to try and pay off the exponentially increasing medical bills. I maintained the household, caring for my mother and brother.
Typical days consisted of school, work, chores, sports and little else. Daily life would drastically change during one of my mother’s frequent trips to the hospital for both MS and psychological exacerbations, though we’d go back to the grind once she took time to recover.
I’m grateful that my parents were strong figures who helped me realize the morals that this work was instilling. The separation from other teens, however, hindered my social aptitude.
Despite these hardships, I was both a state track and math medalist, which awarded me a spot at Lehigh with several scholarships.
Accomplishments
- Raising my brother and caring for my mother
- PA State Track and Field medalist
- PA State finalist in Mathematics
- Launched nonprofit helping to collect food for our local food shelter
